Oh where has the week gone? Day 6 of 2012 is almost over. DH is still at work, so I'm just watching TV waiting on him to get home, the last hour always seems to drag on. This has been a busy week. DD went to speech on Tuesday, when she came out her therapist informed me that she made a chicken nose, umm ok? I have never heard DD make a chicken noise. Her therapist said that she saw a picture of a chicken and said "bock bock".  Today at therapy she said "shhh" and then made snoring sounds like she was sleeping. She amazes me, she really does. I have never said bock bock to her for a chicken, we always say "cluck cluck" and I have never made snoring noises to her either, where on earth is she learning this stuff. She really is a sponge. On Wednesday I had an OB appointment, I went ALONE....it was AMAZING! I didn't have to pack up DD and drag her into the office and hope and pray that she would be a good girl [normally she is but toddlers will be toddlers]. Doc says everything is on track, baby is moving like CRAZY which is good, but why must the most movement happen when I'm about to go to bed? Oh well. After my OB appointment I went to Goodwill just to look. DH and I have been trying to find a dresser for Bagel Bite's room once we get to the new house. We found one for $20 from one of DH's co-workers but we really needed another one. We wanted something sturdy but didn't really want to drop $100 either [couldn't really afford that]. Well Goodwill paid off!! $38 REAL WOOD dresser, almost perfect condition. I'll sand it down and paint it once we make a final decision about what we want in the baby's room. I'm so glad I was able to find a GOOD dresser that will last for a while that didn't break the bank. Thursday my friend J came over and we hard core cleaned the living room and dining room. It looks fantastic, I am so thankful I have a friend that just walks in and cleans. She really helped me out, while this pregnancy hasn't been that bad to me I have had my share of issues and the house has kinda fallen apart a little. On Monday she even helped DH and I organize the basement [that was Monday though]. It's been an eventful but good week, lots got done in the house and DD really surprised me with the things that come out of her mouth. What a week! Oh and tonight I tried a new recipe for frozen quiche, I'll post more about that later though.

Oh Monday

Oh Monday, normally I dread you, but so far today hasn't been all that bad. My friend J did me a huge favor and sat in my [ messy ] house with DD while I went to the bank to deposit a ton of checks [not a normal errand for me but I'll explain in a minuet], I was able to go to the Airman Family Readiness Center and use their printers [score!] and then FINALLY got to the post office to mail the ribbon wreath to my friend D and Scentsy party supplies to my friend K in England. Now if I would have had to take DD it would have taken me 2 hours [I'm guessing] to get this all done.
I had a Scentsy party this past Saturday and got paid by check for all but 1 order. This is not normal for me but I'm not complaining, so I had to go to the bank today to get them all deposited so I can get the party ordered. When I took DD to the bank the other day it was a NIGHTMARE! My mom just said "payback"...Thanks mom... She didn't want to be held but I can't really let her run around the bank. The one teller was having problems, I could hear her on the phone saying "I know I just called but the other numbers you gave me weren't working and I need to figure this out" so she had to deal with that, the other teller was dealing with a guy who had a really big envelope full of stuff that he needed to take care of so I was left to wait, finally a 3rd teller showed up and man was he slow....anyways, I am just really thankful that my friend J was able to watch DD today!!
Then I went and printed out 3 chapters of my history book, have I ever mentioned how much I HATE e-books? I mean I like that they are free but I really like having a book better, so I have to print the e-books, well when chapter 1 is 34 pages I dont really feel like wasting my paper and ink either, so good thing the Readiness Center had computers and printers I can use for FREE!! So I was able to print 3 chapters today, I'm hoping I can get back there this week and print out more just so I have them.
Then I FINALLY for to the post office to mail the ribbon wreath to D, and finding a box it fit in was interesting to say the least! I also had to mail Scentsy party supplies to my friend K in England. K wants to have a catalog party with her friends to try and earn free product [which who doesn't love free!]. I was actually surprised when the lady at the post office told me how to mail it to her cheaper. I have heard for a while now that the postal service has been hurting for money and they have even changed their hours [at least the one here on base did]. So for her to tell me I could save $8 was really nice. Then I came home J and DD and made myself a cup of hot chocolate on my new Keurig machine!!
Well time to go get DD off the bed, I hear her playing with the blinds. Time for her to take a NAP! Then I'm going to watch some NCIS [love] and do some history homework [hate]

Don't forget it Military Monday!! Hop on over to the Blog Hop!!

Life keeps going

Well DH has been gone about 2 weeks give or take a few days....it feels like FOREVERRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I was really hoping this deployment would go fast, I'm hoping once the holidays start up time will fly. I'm excited for Halloween, I'm thinking about ordering DD a bucket with her name on it, that way she has it for when she's really into Halloween. My parents will be here and I'm sure they will want to take her out (since they will be here) but she'll just be 18 months at Halloween so she doesn't really need all that candy, and she really does walk yet, I mean she walks but when you hold her hand to walk you are pretty much dragging her around, so I'm not sure I want to deal with getting her in and out of the stroller every house or carrying her all over the place, I don't know we'll see, it also depends on how cold it is, I mean she's 1 ya know?

DD and J sitting on the kitchen floor
My friend J came over last night, it was a much needed night!! She hasn't lived in the city for a few months. I've missed her. Last time I saw her was back at the end of May. Anyways, she finally had time to hang out, between her 3 jobs. So I met her at the gate we drove on base and she said "I'm hungry" I said well I have munchies above the stove, she grabbed the bag of cheese puffs, well DD saw J grab the bag. Now DD had grab a pot while I was trying to organize my shoe box of a kitchen, I honestly don't even know where the pot came from. She was walking around with it then J sat on the floor, well DD took that as an invitation so sit on her lap. DD was sticking her little hands into the cheese puffs bag, so J put some in the pot, DD just though that was so cool. Well then I slid a box over to J and said anything in here you want. I signed up for a military wife girt exchange and got a bunch of bubble bath, and lotions and a ton of what I call "stinky, smelly stuff".  While I'm very thankful for the gift, being pregnant my nose isn't normal and my skin is all kinds of crazy so I figured I'd off it to J, well J saw the chocolates. So she wanted to eat those, ok fine we'll split the box, I dont need all of it anyways. Plus I don't like nuts in my chocolate anyways. So of course she opens the box with DD on her lap. What does DD want? The chocolate!! So J is trying to give her chocolate while she's eating cheese puffs, my mommy side kicks in and I decided she needed a real dinner. So I made her some raviolis, but she still ate cheese puffs out of her pot. It made her happy so I went with it.

Well I can hear DD on the twin bed time to get her, and maybe an afternoon snack is in order, maybe some cheese puffs in a pot?

I feel like a bad person :(

Ok so I'm visiting family in PITTSBURGH
My friend J is watching the mutts
We had problems getting her a pass so she could come and go freely, well apparently getting a month long pass is a huge deal, they did a background check (which she passed) and they said everything was good they just had to call their boss to clear it. The boss said we had to talk to housing and it would take more then a week to get her a pass! How on earth does it take that long to print a freaking piece of paper?! She passed her background check and has gotten day passes several times. Anyways!
I got her a week pass and then my friend and neighbor were going to go back and get passes, great right? well my friend and her husband went to Texas for Easter so it was up to my neighbor for a while. Well my poor friend J has had a rough 2 weeks. Personal problems and car problems. I told her to use my Jeep to get home for Easter (she lives 2 hours away normally but lives with her grandparents most of the year), well she called me and was like 'umm your Jeep is dead' WHAT?! I feel awful because she is watching my dogs and stuck on base, my neighbor was sleeping so she didnt answer the door, and everyone else she knows on base is either at work, out of town or can't get to her. We texted and called everything we could think of. I feel like its my fault, she keeps apologizing to me and it's so not her fault. I just feel like I'm being a bad friend because I dumped my dogs on her (I mean she offered and I'm paying her but still). I feel like my Washington life is falling apart. DH keeps getting extended on top of it, I just want life to be easy, can I go back to kindergarten?
