 GO STEELERS!!! Look how excited DD was!!
 PITTSBURGH'S GOING TOTHE SUPER BOWLIt was strange not having DH watch with us. He is one of "those" fans. Yells at the TV to the point that he is scaring the dogs and DD. He said he got to see pert of it over there but I know it's not the same. He's really bumming that he has to work the day of the Super Bowl so he is trying to figure out what he can to so he can watch it. I can't DVR it for him because we have DirecTV and they lost their contract with FOX in our area! I'm not happy!! A friend told me I could watch it at her house...she doesn't know what she's in for haha

I don't know what to do

So before DH deployed I applied for 2 different jobs. 1 in an office setting and 1 at Old Navy. Honestly I only applied because it made DH happy, I don't know that I'm ready to get a job. I love being a stay at home mom and I'm still in school. Well Old Navy called me back and now I don't know what to do. The thing about retail is I'm not guaranteed enough hours to cover day care costs. I am at such a loss about what to do. I really need to talk to DH about this...damn deployment....

Valentine-ish Care Package

So I know it is a bit early for Valentine's Day, but in the military world you have to plan a head if you want to get a care package out (and have them arrive close to the event or holiday you are planning for)

I just used one of DH's old boot boxes (we have like 6 more in the basement).

Not my prettiest work but I have to get it on the plane tomorrow...anyways...

I covered the inside of the box with paper

I added pictures to the box so he has some new pictures. (those happen to be from the day he deployed)

I used photo corners so all he has to do is pop them out of the corners and doesn't have to worry about ripping the pictures when he goes to take them off.

I put hearts and love quotes in the bottom of the box too

So on the 20th I took DD to the play place at the funspot. It was the first time all day she didn't scream at me.  Literally she was pissed off all day, even my friend was amazed at my DD's actions. I am blessed, believe me I know I am. I have a DD who has slept through the night since the day she was born, she is a happy baby, well behaved...but DAMN was she cranky!! I think she had realized that her daddy was missing. Anyways I took her to the play place and she was in heaven! It was totally padded so I didn't have to worry about he falling over (score!) She loves moving and grooving....but falling over is currently part of that. I think we will be making more trips there this deployment.

DD was so proud of herself. She knows how to pull herself up, but this was the first time she did it in her pack n' play. She's played the up, down, up, down, up, down game ever since! But sometimes she puts her arm out and falls on it and in my mind I'm screaming OMG! You are gonna break your arm! Oh the stress of being a mommy!

mmm, dinner! DD's favorite time of the day is FOOD! I mean we go through a box of Ritz crackers a week! (not gonna lie I help eat them but still!) For dinner I made her noodles, she was loving it! I finally got smart and bought noodles I dont have cut or pull apart!

They were the perfect size for her to eat without help (clearly I was close by and watching her!) But she loves using her new tuffums (thats that we call teeth in our house, we're strange I know)

Dear Deployment

Dear Deployment...f*ck you...I know you are part of military life, but that doesn't mean I have to like you. The only upside to you is the extra money. Honestly I'd rather be poor and in debt then spend time without my husband. I'm terrified of the effects it will have on my DD, she's not even 9 months old yet. She doesn't understand why daddy left her! She just realizes "hey my jungle gym is gone". She ADORES him and he adores her! GIVE HIM BACK!!!

no this is not a mistake! I got a call on the 18th from DH and I thought it was my good-bye call...nope.."come get me" is what he said...well crap! Not that I didn't want to see him, believe me I wanted more than anything to be in his arms but that just meant that the process had to be repeated...so the second morning came....DD was still in PJs but they say I <3 Daddy

Crazy few days!!

Alright, so it's been like a week since I posted...oh boy! I know I have pictures to pose for 365 and that I need to play catch up but DH deployed recently and my mind has just been elsewhere. DD has decided that it's fun to scream at me...I can't help that daddy deployed, it's his job...but how do you tell a 9 month old that? She has gotten so motivated lately too. She wants to move and groove and be every where at once! Oh boy!! DH is deployment over yet?! DD is currently standing in her pack n play yelling at the recliner...why? I have no clue...oh and not to be TMI but she's pooping like 3 times a day...thats so not normal! (for the non-moms who follow me you will understand once you have kids haha it's a totally normal topic)

So DH had the day off today...kinda...he had to take stuff to work but other then that he was home all day. He let me sleep in and played with DD all morning! (bonus points) Well at about 3ish he told me to text our friend (because her hubby works at 3pm) and ask if she wanted to come hang out. We played Green Day Rock Band and Mario Party. Well DD woke up from her nap and played in her pack n play for a while but got bored so I took her out and let her play with the rock band microphone.

Clutter, clutter, clutter!

I admit...I'm a pack rat! I don't know how to fix it!! I like have a clean house but it seems like over night clutter shows up!! The picture below is DD's room. CLUTTER!!! Thanks to an amazing friend it is now at least organized clutter. There is a pile to go to the basement, a pile for the trash, and a pile to donate. I'm hoping I can be better about my clutter! Here's hoping!!

One Happy Hubby

So DH didn't get a lunch break today. I texted him around 4:30pm asking when he'd be home. He told me "soonish" so I started the "what should I make for dinner" inner monologue.  So I looked in our pantry and found a can of Progresso Soup. It was Rich and Hearty Chicken Pot Pie Style. It got my wheels turning, I looked in my fridge and saw Pillsbury Crescent Rolls. I knew then what I was going to make. I dug out my quiche pans, placed them on a cookie sheet and got working. If you leave 2 crescent rolls together it creates a rectangle. I took a rectangle and placed it in the bottom then spooned the slightly warmed soup in. Then I placed another rectangle  pinched it closed. I cooked it at the the time and tempature on the crescent roll tubes (350 degrees and 13 minuets) 2 tubes of Crescent Rolls and 1 18.6oz Rich and Hearty Chicken Pot Pie Style later I had 4 "pies".

These are 2 of the 4 pies. They look a little gross but my quiche pans have removable bottoms so it leaked a little bit and the blob on the right is the dough that I pinched off. DH ate 3 of 4 pies plus the blob of dough
